Names

While I don't want to get hung up on names here are a couple of considerations. First, using the words "conservative" or "rightwing" or "right" in a name immediately limits your audience. Something I'd like to avoid. Second, whatever name we decide on needs to be memorable. One word, two at most...Yes, Bob, "Billy" is not at all a bad suggestion.

Woah. I *like* "Svend". BTW, thanks for the vote of confidence, Jay. I'm sticking with "Billy": it has just enough of that "but it must stand for *something*"-without-actually-standing-for-anything cachet that I think can work to our advantage.

I'd be for "Billy" or "Svend", myself. Those choices are just ... out there. And that's cool.

The trouble with some of the other names is that they are committing us to a policy we mightn't all agree with or making a reference that might end up outdated.

VorpalBlade.ca is still available.

So who gets to be the Frumious Bandersnatch? Mr. Currie or Doc Monger? (I have the Doc pegged as more of the Jabberwock type, myself).

I have been laughing non-stop since I read the word "Svend" so we may be on to something there.

Earlier someone added an "e" to urban and came up with "Urbane". It has a lounge lizard sound to it and has the word "bane" in it for free and extra. It also has the benefit of sounding like it could be in the men's style or architecture sections. Is Urban(e) too late 80s looking?

Ok, I am really liking Svend.

You've ruled out "Warren's Mom" as a title, right? Good - that seemed to be where this thread was heading.

How about if we were to combine "Kinsella" and "Godzilla".

AIIIIEEE! RUN! IT's KINZIIIYAA!

(Cut to Kinzilla wearing a Darth Vader mask and rampaging through the Gomery inquiry.)
